I've been on a calorie deficit for about 4 months now and I'm feeling great. 11kg down, loads more energy, started running again. It's been great!
But recently (over the past couple of weeks) my number on the scale is not really moving. Usually this is the loss part of my cycle too - my weight is stagnant for 2 weeks of the month, goes up a little and then I lose for 2 weeks. It's not too big a deal because I know I'm tracking correctly and being consistent so it's all good.
That said, my electronic scale keeps getting shifted by my bonkers cat and when I move it from one spot to an inch to the left, it reads anywhere between 0.5-1kg different. I've got hard, linoed floors so I'm guessing it's just uneven somewhere. My scales also only cost me around $5.
Should I just buy some better scales? When I get nearer to the end of the process, I want to scale to be reading more accurately so that I know what my comfortable weight is.
Has anyone else had scale distrust/apathy? I don't want it to be a sign of me slipping because, until now, it's been a great indicator of positive lifestyle change.
