I keep expecting to see my starting weight on the scale

Does anyone else ever feel this? Every time I get on the scale I get nervous expecting to see I was actually 224-229 rather than around 10lbs lighter on average. I keep getting scared that maybe the battery needed replaced or it was broken again and all the progress I have been making was just in my head or the scale misreading.

It doesn't help that I'm getting close to my monthly and a bit water logged atm but even at my most bloated I'm still several pounds lighter than what I am expecting. Maybe once I get further in my journey it will settle but it still weirds me out seeing it get lower every week. Does it get better? At what point does this anxiety lessen?
