I can't really *work out* because of my joints/fatigue/weakness, but I made it through a 20 minute pilates video this week doing all the floor exercises only, and the standing exercises sitting on the floor too, lol, so I'm hoping to continue a few times a week at least.
I started taking phentermine on Friday, and have lost 4 lbs to date.
I have eaten clean low carb (leafy & bright colored low-gi veggies + meat + eggs, plus flax plus coconut flour + lupin flour, sparing with nuts and dairy, no fillers, etc since about 2005 when I suddenly put on about 20lbs from a long cold winter (!!) and wanted to lose it and get back to my normal healthy self.
I lost the weight easily and also felt so healthy I just kept eating this way. Unfortunately a few years ago I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and I gained a giant pile of weight when I was on prednisone for a year. I am still taking 2 prescription meds that contribute to weight gain, more weight has crept on in the past few years since I got off prednisone as well. I have probably 80 or 90 lbs to lose to be back where I was before I became a lump of pain and fatigue.
Last week, I found out that zyrtec (which I've been taking daily for years, for allergies) contributes to weight gain. I stopped taking it early last week (switched to loratadine) and lost 2 lbs over the course of that week. I'm going to try to switch my other two rx as well - and hoping that will help.
I also fast a few days a week, hoping to heal my sad and ill body. I always feel great when I fast as well. And I drink gallons of water, lol.
SO that's my story. Anyone interested in doing daily check-ins to keep accountable? I find it hard to motivate to exercise, because DANG it hurts to move, lol, but I think having a 'buddy' would make it easier.
Thanks for reading! :)
