Hello
I have lost 35 lbs from my highest weight by counting calories. In Feb I started a medically supervised ketogenic diet for type 2 diabetes through my insurance. I have been able to reduce medication and my glucose levels have been better
. My doctors are pleased with my progress. I have lost 15 lbs since Feb, stalled since they altered my medication in June. I take psych meds, too. I get ravenous at night and have trouble controlling snacking. I usually skip breakfast but my doctor does not want me to go more than 14 hr because of diabetes. I talked to my psychiatrist about possibly changing psych meds but he is against it. They work well
I was tracking on cronometer but it was giving me too many burned calories from linked fitbit so I recently changed to MFP. I have 1200 base + exercise calories. I am sedentary some days, others light exercise.
I am at a loss as what to do. I weigh most foods but sometimes estimate. I found out I am lactose intolerant so have switched to non dairy. The medical supervision ends in Jan.
There is a weightloss clinic that has a VLCD supervised program. They transition you to regular foods, but I would only be able to afford the first 3 months that is the weightloss component and you have to buy their food which is not included. So I would have to transition to regular food on my own. I don't even know if I could handle the VLCD.
I am getting close to normal BMI but still have a lot of abdominal fat.
I was reading the FAQs about binge eating. I guess that is what I do but it is not every night and I feel like I have a pit in my stomach that can't be filled. It is painful.
