Is loose skin inevitable?

I have 75lb to lose to get back to just overweight. Is there a way I can avoid ending up with a ton of loose skin?

Upon weighing myself this morning I was 253 lb and am a 5 foot 7 female. The last time I remember feeling somewhat comfortable with my body, I was 200lb ish, so I'm hoping to at least get back there, if not get into the healthy range.

I really hate my body at the moment, which is the main motivator in trying to lose weight - along with the obvious health issues of course - and I don't want to end up healthier but hating my body in a whole different way.

I'm trying to incorporate exercise as part of weight loss: I'm upping my walking as part of a fundraising challenge, and have a stationary bike too. Will this help my body to adjust?
