Immediately thinking about next meal?

I've been trying to clean up some lifelong bad eating habits lately, primarily through eating 3 meals a day (ya know, like an average person lol). But the problem I keep running into is that no matter how satisfying that meal is, basically the minute I'm finished with it I feel like I'm just waiting on edge for my next meal. Like an hour after lunch I'll be working with a relatively full stomach and thinking, "omg I still have 4 whole hours until my next meal" It's not like I'm overrestricting. I'm 5'3, 168lbs, I usually run a few times a week but I'm temporarily sedentary while i recover from an injury, and I'm aiming for 1600 calories a day. These constant thoughts throw me off track every time and I'm tired of it. Does anyone have any advice on how to handle a normal eating schedule?
