Hello! I'm new to calorie counting and I have a problem. Being a transmasculine person (ie. born female), I set my gender on a calorie tracking app as male since I take testosterone. However, I'm not sure this was the right choice. The testosterone I take affects metabolism and how much I need to eat to feel satisfied. Essentially, I'm pretty much male but I'm still wondering if it's the right choice. Have any other transmasc people here had this problem? Should I stick to the lower female calorie requirements to be safe, or is setting it as male the right thing to do given my hormonal makeup is the same as a cis man's?
