How to avoid binging at night?

For the past week, I’ve been doing pretty good with eating; no calorie tracking because I got kind of obsessive about it in the recent past, and it just wasn’t good for my brain. But I’ve been focusing on lower calorie, higher protein and satiating food. I eat two good meals with balanced protein, carbs, and normally a fruit, I have a snack around 4 or 5, and then I come home and it’s like this beast just springs out of me. I feel SO HUNGRY but not for anything good for me; just senseless cravings for carbs and sweet stuff. In the past, I’ve fixed this by upping my intake throughout the day, but I’m already eating an adequate amount of food. Is there something I’m missing that I should be doing to help curb these impulses?
