Binge eating disorder and stomach stretching

I’ve had binge eating disorder for probably 15 years. On the bright side, I’ve been having some luck combatting it lately. However, I’m actually experiencing a lot of physical hunger. Before, I never even felt hunger signals. I just ate when I needed a dopamine hit.

It’s making me wonder if my stomach is stretched out and if it will ever be a normal size again. I haven’t binged in a few weeks but haven’t lost any weight either because I’m still hungry so frequently.

A lot of people say it goes back to the same size after binging, but I watch my 600 lb life and it definitely doesn’t. I mean, they wouldn’t be having bariatric surgery if it did. It almost makes me wish I could get an operation to reduce my stomach size, but I’m probably not overweight enough to qualify.

I’m a 5’8” 180 lb female. My highest weight was 260. I also have engaged in fasting and over exercising to manage the binging. I only point that out because, at times, my eating habits have looked like those of someone much heavier, so I’m not sure why the situation with my stomach would be any different than theirs.

I’m just posting to see if anyone has any experience or input on this. I realize surgery probably isn’t an option for me.
