Advice?

I am 5’10, 19F, currently 298 pounds. I started my journey to my goal weight of 170 pounds last week. I have 2 things inhibiting me from losing weight. I take a medication called Cartia XT that can have a side effect of gaining weight and making it harder to lose weight. I have called my doc and left a voicemail saying I want to ween off of it because I don’t feel I need it anymore. I guess that part is taken care of somewhat, but the next thing is something I have no control over. I fractured my foot 2 years ago and just now found out that my bone did not align correctly, causing a malunion. Basically, I am going to have to have surgery or be in a cast for a long time. This means I will not be able to work out. This begs the question I am asking all of you... what can I do to lose weight while not being able to use my legs? I know what to do eating wise, but if anyone knows of any exercises you can do without the use of your legs I would love to know. I know it may be a stupid question but oh well. Please no harsh or mean answers :)
