I started losing weight about a year ago, I thought I'd be much further along by now (and maybe I would've been had the lockdowns not happened, but that's more of an excuse than anything), but 60 pounds is more than I think I ever really imagined myself losing, and I'm still going.
That being said, I hear people all the time talk about how much better they feel when they eat right, and to me it feels good to lose weight, but honestly I feel like I felt better a year ago when I was 325lbs eating Taco Bell every other day. Now it just feels like I'm always hungry. I used to eat whatever I wanted on Saturdays, and that was working great for me, but I started plateauing and basically gaining all the weight back on Saturday that I had lost throughout the week. I then decided to scale back from a cheat day to a cheat meal.
I really don't feel very good throughout the week. My first thought was that I'm starving myself, but I really don't lose weight if I eat any more than what I'm currently eating (1200-1500 calories per day). I can't really describe how I feel during the week, but the best word I can think of is groggy. I feel very hungry, and as a consequence very fatigued when I'm eating what I need to eat to lose weight.
I want abs more than I want to eat junk food tho, so I'll grit my teeth and continue doing this like I have been for a year now.
Anyone else have experience with this?
