Hello!
I'm usually of the mind that "a thirty minute walk is better than a 30 minute run" because I'm less likely to eat more after a walk, and I don't become a sloth the rest of the day if I walk.
That said, that's not the type of exercise I'm talking about. I live in Colorado, and today I hiked the second Flatiron. If you don't know, it's long, steep, and difficult. In addition, I did about two hours of bouldering, and then finished the day by climbing the flatiron itself. I couldn't tell you how much this burned, but overall is was probably ~3 hours of exercise.
Now, usually on days like this I don't bother trying to be in a deficit. I can't really calculate what I burned, and I'd rather just enjoy the day than worrying about macros when I spent the better part of the day outside hiking and climbing.
That said, my fatlogic lizard brain is kicking in, and telling me to just eat and eat and eat and eat, and I'm losing that battle because "I worked my ass off today". Do you guys have any tips for reigning this in? Or should I just quit worrying about it and get back on track tomorrow?
