I'm so excited and my husband doesn't seem to understand, but I hope you will.
While I was pregnant early last year I quickly outgrew my bras (not talking about cup size). For those of you who don't wear them, a bra is as unforgiving as a pair of jeans. Sure there is some leeway, but if I'm gaining weight, my bra will tell me.
I bought some cheap elastic sleeping bras online, they were so comfy and stretchy! After I gave birth and started to work on losing the baby weight, I was trying on my pre-baby clothes and eyed my old bras. I loved the comfort of my sleeping bras, but while wearing them I always felt a little sloppy, like going out in sweats instead of proper clothes. I took a chance and tried a bra on. It cut into my back fat something aweful and I quickly took it off. I hid my real bras in the back of my underwear drawer, and every couple of months as I lost more weight I would try them on to see how they felt.
I wasn't planning on trying one on today. The embarrassing fact is, I ran out of my sleeping bras and needed some support, so I grabbed one from the furthest recesses of my drawer. I've been really careful about what I was eating this week, but didn't notice a change in the mirror or on the scale. All week I've been reminding myself I have to stick with this, I'm not on a diet but building a healthy, sustainable lifestyle. Anyway, I slip one on, wincing in anticipation as I buckled it, when lo and behold - it fit!!!
This more than makes up for the plateau I'm on AND gives me hope that I'll be seeing the scale nudge down within a few days.
I've seen a lot of other people saying this recently but my experience reinforces for me that I have to be patient and consistent! The results will come if I keep it up.
Thank you for listening/reading about my excitement over being able to fit into old underwear 😂
