What can you do besides emotional eating after receiving bad news?

I often find myself eating junk food if I’m feeling lonely or sad, but in the moment it feels very appealing.

If I find out bad news, my default is to demolish a pint of ice cream or half a pizza by myself.

I’m wondering what your coping strategies are for when you’re in a bad mood, that are healthier than reaching for a snack.

Feel free to share concrete examples or your experience.
