NSV - I made a revelation today about one specific habit that tends to stop me from this lifestyle change.

I have a few obsessive compulsive behaviors. One of them is the need to try to be perfect in everything, and to start things on a Monday, or even day (2nd, 4th, 6th, you get the picture), or the first of the month is a big one. If I mess up, even a little bit, welp, the week is shot, better just start again Monday.

I have mental health issues as well, and my hygiene can be affected, although I do my best to not make this an issue. So when I decide to lose weight, well, I need to get up every morning right away (I'm not a morning person), do my hair, makeup, brush my teeth, etc., AND diet and exercise. It makes it very easy to mess up, especially if I have a spiral.

Cut to tonight. I've been back on this journey since 12/28. I've had a few binge meals. I had McDonald's on Saturday for dinner and Chinese food yesterday for dinner.

And not once did I think after any of it, "Welp, the week is shot, better just start again on Monday." I just kept moving. The next meals after a binge were healthy. I haven't missed a gym day. I just keep on pushing and moving forward.

There's only one other time this has happened in my 34 years of life: when I lost 60 lbs back in 2013.

I'm ready to do it again and then some.
