Running when you’re overweight, share your experience

Hello guys

Short background i am a male 188 cm tall, used to weight 153kg but now im at 130kg. stopped losing weight for 2 months (but did not gain any extra), now im back at it again.

I recently became addicted to running!, I just loved it. Specifically outdoor running, whenever i'm depressed or feel down i do it and it all go away for some reason. I've learned couple of things about it from youtube and i enjoy focusing on my form and breathing.

The thing is ive been facing some problems (pain) in my legs specifically shin pain (but also in other areas), i run for 30-60 minutes daily with short breaks for the past week. I did not buy a dedicated shoes for running just yet.

I talked to a doctor and he just told me to lose weight and rest for a while, which is what im doing, but its frustrating a little bit

For anyone interested, i want to hear your story related to this. Did you suffer any pain, and how did it help you to lose weight if it did, also do you enjoy it or not.
