My height peaked at 5'4 when I was 12 and hasn't changed from then. From the age of 12 to 22 I fluctuated between 130-140lbs. I always had a flat stomach but carried weight in my thighs and 'love handles'.
I began to gain weight at age 23, I reached my heaviest weight, 250lbs, at 25. As to be expected, I no longer had a flat stomach but my 'shape' remained somewhat the same, I had a lot more fat in my thighs and love handles.
I have now dropped down to 170lbs but my shape is very different. A lot of the weight came off my thighs but I haven't made much progress with my stomach. I have pictures of me at my CW back when I was 24 (I am 27 now), my thighs are bigger and my stomach is flatter.
Now my lower belly proportionally looks a lot bigger than the rest of me. I still have 40lbs to go and I really hope it makes a big difference to my lower belly.
Is the change in body shape normal? I naively expected to look the same as I did a couple of years ago at the same weight.
