A question for losers who travel for business..

Almost 52 f/ 5’2” CW 210 GW 160. Deep sigh .. I have found myself in an unfortunate but common situation and I am looking for some advice. Two years ago.. I hit my goal weight of losing 50 pound by my 50th birthday. 214 > 164. CICO with the lose it app.It was great! I loved the process and the results. Maybe 6 months after hitting my goal, I took a promotion to a very stressful job with long hours. First my time to go to the gym slipped away and then I ate to soothe my stress.. here I am not quite 2 years later and back to almost where I started. I have noticed that I just don’t feel well. I have trouble getting comfortable to sleep. My breathing is suffering. My joints hurt. All the things that went away when I was able to hit my goal the first time. Additionally, from a vanity perspective my oldest son got engaged over Christmas and is planning a big wedding. I want to be able to dance all night, not be sweaty and be the magnificently beautiful mother of the groom I have always dreamed of being!! I can do it.. I need to do it.. but here’s the rub. I recently changed jobs to a higher paying much less stressful consultant position that requires travel. I leave the house Monday and come home Friday night. I have a daily stipend that is generous and I have spent the last 2 months enjoying rich calorie filled dinners alone in my hotel to combat the boredom and loneliness. This needs to change ASAP!!! I stay in high end hotels with pools and fitness clubs so if I change my mind set.. instead of putting on my PJ’s and laying on the bed eating until I fall asleep.. I can put my sneakers on and head down to the treadmill and maybe swim some laps.

I JUST don’t know what to eat! Breakfast buffet’s are carbs heavy and the fruit selections are inconsistent at best. A waxy red delicious or a banana isn’t going to hold me. Lunch is dicey sometimes I have time to eat, sometimes it’s an eat through meeting that’s catered and dinner is challenging because restaurant pick up is easy but the choices are limited.

What do my fellow travelers do? Meal prep for the week, carry a cooler and hope for microwave access? Find a restaurant that has good choices and eat the same thing for a week? Any other ideas?? Help! Please!!
