So, I've lost 43 pounds in the last 5 months

Hey guys! My (F, 31) stats SW 199lbs (90,4kg) CW 156lbs (71,1kg) GW no idea, maybe 135-ish 5'3 (160cm)

I've always been very active, played sports all my life. But I like to eat. I am an emotional eatear, and during the pandemic and lockdowns and not having the discipline to workout at home, I gained around 20 pounds in 2020.

I joined crossfit about 2 years ago, but did not do the home wods during lockdown, and I pretty much entered eat-everything mode to cope.

I started my journey on May 17th, and what I started to focus on was to just make it through the week without binging. That was my first baby step, plus going back to my box, and focusing on going 2 to 3 times a week.

I was lucky enough to keep my job, and being able to go to a physical location, so I walk to work every single day. I do around 15,000 steps per day, except on weekeds.

So my weekly routing at the moment goes something like this: Monday through friday - 1400/1600cals Weekends 1800 - 2500 cals Workout 4 times a week Average of 12 000 steps per day

Why I believe this has been working so far: I set up a routine during the week - I i usually eat the same foods, and I know I usually overeat at the end of the day, so i just eat a bit less during the day, and enjoy a heavier dinner This allows me to stress less on the weekends, and know that I can splurge a bit, and by knowing that, I actually feel like I don't want to eat that much 😂

Crossfit has become easier, I can do everything a lot easier. I lost some brute strenght, but my Olympic lifting hasn't suffered at all!

Some extras -I don't drink, so extra cals from alcohol have never been an issue -I drink around 2l of water/tea a day - i don't count macros, I just make sure I am having a decent amount of protein, knowing that it will always be lower on the weekends

I haven't changed calories or 'food plan' since May, so I think the best approach would be to stay in this lane until I reach either my goal weight or a plateau? Either way, I plan to check in with a nutricionist then.

So far I only had 2 'event' of emotional eating. They lasted about 2-3 days, and I was able to just go back to the scheduled program like it was nothing! I'm so proud of myself, and just wanted to share :)
