No improvement. Should I start include any form of exercise? Is walking daily enough?

I'm 22F, 5'2, 147lbs and sedentary lifestyle. Since last year, I gained weight. I went from my lightest to heaviest. Used to be able do "IF" (not in a healthy way) but I guess I overdid after I fainted September last year and mess up my body? Was able withstand feeling hungry for hours. Hunger cues is mess up after that. I'll feel a bit off and lightheaded/dizzy as a signal of hunger. After that, I'm back to eat 3 meals a day and gained weight.

Try to fix my weight as I'm starting to feel better. I try to start IF again but I don't feel good after several attempts. Right now I'm trying calories deficit only but still no improvement and gain weight. I even eat less than when I was at my lightest and more greens, rarely snacking now. I drink lots of water even before trying to lose weight (I love water).

Planning to start walking 30 minutes daily, will it helps me lose weight? Or decrease my ccalories intakes?
