When I was trying to loose weight I wanted to eat what I ate but less. I'd cry over the fact one meal at McDonald's was 1k calories. I tried to get by eating tiny little slices of salami and cheese. I tried eating more whole foods and it's been a game charger for me. Doesn't anyone else who eats like this feel like they are hacking the system. I can eat so much and get so little calories!!
For breakfast today I had a fruit salad with some flax seeds. After I had ate so much I wanted to burst, I logged it in chronometer. It was only 240! I was dumb struck I'd have to eat double what I ate to reach my goals.
After half a day of biking, I made a hummus sandwich with berries and cucumbers on the side. Couldn't even finish my entire sandwich (two huge slices of bread, heaps of spinich, 1/4 cup of hummus, and a handful of cherry tomatoes), still under calories.
For my snack I had an entire ziplock full of carrots (about a cup).
Dinner I made a giant pot of lentil soup with brown rice. I used one of my big serving bowls to dish it out. Covered it in fresh cilantro and jalapeños. Absolutely amazing and wanted to nap after.
Late night snack, went in and ate a tub of water melon.
Logged it all and barely made it to 1100 calories. I had to scrounge my fridge for something to try and bump me up to my 1800 goal.
