Add cals to daily allowance through workout?

People of this community,

I am trying to wrap my head around a fairly specific question which might even be a stupid one. Be so kind to hear me out and throw your thoughts my way or feel free to ignore me like the apocalypse preaching homeless person at the corner ...

I currently follow a 1800 Calorie diet. I combine that with regular workouts and a generaly active livestyle.

Here's my question: Do I add the calories I used during a workout to my calorie allowance?

Example: I allow myself to eat 1800 cal, on a specific day I used 400 cal working out. Do I still only consume the 1800 cal or do I add the 400 cal allowing me 2200 cal for that day?

I am torn between adding and not adding and am wondering how you people are doing it.

Thanks and best

Leibbrand
