CW: Eating disorder
Hello all,
Like many, I've put on a decent amount of weight since COVID started. Enough that my favorite pair of jeans won't go over my butt/thighs, enough that my stomach sticks out, and enough to not feel as healthy as I did. Last time I weighed myself pre-pandemic, I fluctuated around 125-130lbs. I'm about 140lbs now. I know what I need to do to lose weight: exercise more and reduce caloric intake, but I'm scared to be honest. In early high school, I struggled with an eating disorder and eventually had to be put into an inpatient program for a few months. I'm much better now but have lapsed a little in the past by repeating dangerous behaviors, but I have been able to catch myself most times. My fear is that if I track my calories, I'll spiral and lose all of the progress I've made in recovery, but at the same time, I want to get back to my pre-pandemic weight. If anyone has any tips, I would love to hear them. Thank you so much! Best wishes to all of you.
