So, I'm here on the behalf of my boyfriend. He's successfully lost 36lbs. He's 24 (M) and about 5'4. At the beginning of June, he was 179lbs. He started getting stomaches aches, his mom cooked fattening meals with much cheese, and he had a coca cola everyday with other sugary drinks. He felt as if he had to go to the emergency room for a run down of whatever was going on with him. But before doing that, he came for me for some guidance. I'm no officially licenced anything. I'm still in college and don't have any type of degree in medicine or physical therapy. However, I do have an aunt who graduated with a kinesiology degree and is now a personal trainer. So, I did give him some advice..just whatever I could remember from what my aunt said.
I told him he has to walk everyday, eat a salad everyday and cut down HARD on homemade meals, sugars and any other fatty foods. He did not want to. He told me he can barely walk without wheezing and has a gag reflex to vegetables. I told him if he wants to keep on with the stomach aches then I can't force him to do anything..but I suggested the doctor or doing what I recommended. On June 9th, he started taking my advice. He walked everyday, ate salads and cut meals down to 2 a day with a side of fruits and Greek yogurt. He started measuring his food and calorie intake. I came to "loseit" to better guide him.
We looked at the websites you guys provided and based his routines off them. Everyday he walked a mile. It was hard for him at first to walk a sidewalk's stretch but he soon got the hang of it. Come July 11th, he was 163lbs. By this time, he was handling things on his own. He started moving faster, eating healthier, cut sweets out his diet along with sodas. He completely has transformed.
Today, he's officially 143lbs. I'm super proud of him and scared at the speed he's losing weight. The kid needs new clothes! Everything he used to wear looks like an oversized dress! I bought him some new shirt in a medium and they're still too big for him. He's fitting back into his old pants, shirts and everything. He's so thin now, I can probably lift him off the ground. Today he can walk around that track twice. He runs, jogs and loves it. He's thinking about working out soon since he is super thin and getting used to his new body.
I just owe alot of the progress to this sub is all. I'm super proud of him and just wanted to share his story and let you all know that it is possible 😊 Thanks for reading and keep working at it!
