Can someone recommend healthier coping mechanisms than eating when feeling down?

Essentially all the major parts of my life are not looking good. Without throwing a pity party that no one wants to be invited to I'll try to explain briefly. my job, finances, my family, my social circle and apartment are all having issues so i don't feel i have any safe place to turn and get comfort other than food lately and that led me to already gain back 3 kg in a month. What other ways can i cope when feeling down other than eating and without spending too much since finances is one of the issues i mentioned.

I try to go for walks at night but after working almost 12 hours on weekdays i honeslty don't feel up to it, especially when since it's raining alot here and i have to spend time after work preparing my resume and looking for a new job.

Maybe these are all excuses but i swear I'm trying and was hoping someone had other suggestions for hanging in there as i "weather the storm"
