I was reading up on satiating foods, and learned that potatoes are the #1 most satiating food. I've been hungry at night while dieting, so I tried an old baked potato recipe my aunt used to make us when we were kids and it is SO good. I thought this I had to share:
Chitaters:
- Baked potato (1/2-full potato depending on size) (260 grams)
- Vegan Butter (.75 tbspn - optional)
- Salt/Pepper
- Pulled chicken (35 grams)
- Baked beans (70 grams)
- Lowfat cheese (15 grams - optional)
- Lowfat Sour cream (50 grams - optional)
It sounds heavy, but you can adjust toppings and portion to meet calories budgets. Add a decent amount of baked beans. The potato really soaks it up. Between the potato, the beans, and the chicken, this meal is FILLING; I used a couple smaller spuds (approx 260 grams), but I could've gone with a smaller serving size. Calories without butter were 499. You can easily cut the portion size by 20-30% though.
