I've been lurking around for a while and finally felt like I need to make a post.
So about me a little. I suffer from a herniated disc between my L4 and L5 discs in my spine that I have had cortisone shots for and things are doing well. I was going to the gym before the pandemic last year and was having a good time there but then, you know.
Anyway. I wanted to start going to the gym again but my area is not doing so well with COVID again so I'm going to stay away from there for the time being. I've always had problems with trying to lose my stomach for my whole entire life. Over the last 3 months, I have been doing my best to eat less than 2000 calories a day and have been stuck at the 212-214 lb range since the pandemic and I'm okay with that range for now. I'm going to start eating lower than 2000 a day and hope that lowers my weight a little bit. I've been using Lose It! and it's been pretty good but I think it's time to lower my calorie intake. I don't eat a lot of bad stuff during the week due to the wife having many dietary issues.
I took some pictures that are here (https://imgur.com/a/sV50wfQ... it's just my upper body). People have told me that it's just "extra skin" and there's no workout that will help but trust me. It is not extra skin. I have had this stomach my whole life and I want to try and at least get rid of my muffin top sides so shirts look a little bit better on me.
I want to get back into running again so I'm not too concerned with with my lower body since I do a lot of stretches and squats to help with my legs. I just have so much issue with my midsection that I need help. I am off 4 days a week from work do to school and I have time to do stuff at home in between classes and homework. Big thing is that I do not have dumbbells to do a lot of workouts. I do have a 10 and 12 lb medicine ball plus exercise bands with handles.
I know it is asking a lot but any help would be fantastic. Thank you so much for the help.
