i told my thin friend that she has no right to judge my decision of getting a gastric sleeve. she won't speak to me anymore.

i am an eighteen year old girl who is morbidly obese, standing at almost 255 lbs. i gained a lot of weight after recovering from anorexia, and basically "jumped" from one eating disorder to the other.

this girl and i have been friends for three years, and we were very close — "doing everything together" close. she knows all about my disordered eating and was a very good listener.

for some time, we grew apart, but i did not realise that. she showed me all the signs and yet i did not see them. after i told her that i will be getting a gastric sleeve surgery due to multiple health complications, she said that:

• she will never agree with this decision

• i am not "relatable" to her anymore (meaning that my problems are too complicated for her)

• she will not support me in this process

i basically told her that she is ignorant for not seeing that my obesity is ruining my life, and that she will never understand how hard it is to be morbidly obese. what should i do?
