Dreading coming out of lockdown

Because of how huge I feel right now. It’s kind of just hit me how much weight I’ve put on the last 3 years. Right now I’m only about 3kgs (about 7lbs) heavier than when I went into lockdown, but overall I’m 87kgs (191lbs). Which is about 12kgs (26) heavier than my ‘normal’ weight.

I’m in Australia, and where I am have been in heavy lockdowns since June. we’re about to come out of lockdown though and are heading into Summer…I was so excited to get out of lockdown but now I’m dreading it. Since the start of the year I’ve gone through a big breakup, health issues, lockdown and work stress and I’ve treated my body like garbage and just ate whatever I wanted to get through. I love exercise but got out of routine after the breakup and then lockdown hit and I never regained motivation without the gym.

I’ve been making strides - I’ve fallen in love with walking and have more than doubled my average daily steps. I’m trying to focus on sleep and back to counting calories. This week is the first week since Feb I haven’t ordered takeaway. But I just feel so bummed out.

I don’t feel comfortable anymore, I don’t feel like myself. The only thing getting me through is the fact that soon I’ll be able to go to a gym again which is always my healthy motivator.
