Working out with the switch?

Hi all, I’m 23f and 202 pounds. I have lost weight before (got down to 180 pounds somehow when I studied abroad in Japan, however I think I wasn’t eating enough and I walked literally everywhere.) Yesterday I decided to start my fitness journey again and managed to do 15 minutes active time on Ring Fit Adventure. I’m gonna slowly increase my time week by week, but for now 15 minutes in game gets me drenched in sweat and my heart rate to 160 (measured by the joycon).

I also bought Fitness Boxing 2 to supplement RFA. I plan on doing both tomorrow and try to get to 30 minutes active time.

I’m off work so I can’t afford a gym (and honestly I’m a little embarrassed with how out of shape I am right now to go to a gym) so I was wondering - would I be able to get in shape and lose weight just by playing these two games? Does anyone else use the switch as their main exercise?

I live in Japan now and it’s so hot and humid I just cannot bring myself to go running outside. Which is the only other “free” exercise I think I’d enjoy doing.

Any other tips appreciated! I’m gonna try to start eating healthier too. I know if I try to do it all at once I will give up so I’m just trying to make gradual adjustments. :)
