Okay, it's time to get back to the journey.

I stopped my weightloss journey two years ago because I got pregnant. Since then, I've had the most beautiful and healthy baby boy, but the world also went to hell in a hand basket.

I had my baby during hard lockdown. My husband and I had no help from family and even now that things are a little better, I'm still not taking chances with the virus and my boy.

We've been comfort eating like crazy, getting take out like crazy and all in all just trying to survive.

I have however been making homemade nutritious meals for my boy - the first time he tasted sugar was his 1st birthday, he hasn't had it since. He eats fresh, low sodium, high protein, no refined sugars, whole grains etc.

So I decided that unless I am willing to feed him exactly what is on my plate - I should probably not be eating it. That's going to be how I pick and choose our meals for now.

I'll also be doing CICO of course and intermittent fasting (working my way up to 18:6) to help me get disciplined and break the snacking cycle.

With the pandemic, I stopped my gym contract. I just don't feel comfortable going back until I'm vaccinated. It was an essential part of my success on my earlier journey, but I'm going to try my best to at least do a little workout at home. Once vaccinated I'll be able to go back and get strong and fit again. And I'm looking forward to it!

So yeah, getting back on the way to a healthy life - wish me luck!
