Two year old kids are fun. When they find something they like, they can do it over and over and over. My son has this toy ball that sings and rolls around when you press a button. He likes to press the button and then run up to me, I pick him up and we dance around until it's done. Then, he drops to the ground, presses the button to get it moving again, and then runs back to me to dance some more.
Back before I started this journey, I would be like, not again. Daddy needs to sit down.
Yesterday, every time he ran back, I was like, yeah let's do it again! It was weird, I was just as excited as my son to dance to Franky Beats Has Got the Colors. We danced for 30 minutes before his attention shifted elsewhere.
I've been counting calories religiously, eating healthy foods to stay under my calorie budget. I'm not sure, but feel like fast food sucks energy, but healthy foods boost energy. Is that just my imagination? But more importantly, I've started Couch-to-5K, and I've been walk-running fairly regularly. Adding some regular exercise instead of sitting on my butt all day from the type of work I do (I'm a computer programmer), has significantly improved my stamina.
