Deleted my tracking app because I’m completely obsessed

So for context I want to lose min 3kgs and max 7kgs (7lb - 15lb). I don’t have tonnes to lose and my health is fine, fitness could definitely be better.

Today I deleted my calorie tracker app because I feel I have become really obsessed with it. I enter everything and plan my meals in advance, but I get a kind of soothing I Am In Control feeling from tracking everything, and I am constantly bargaining with myself to either fit more foods into my day or trying to see if I can go really really low (which I very much know is unhelpful). To add to this. I have only lost a tiny amount of weight in the month that I have been trying, which is annoying but also not a big mystery as I have been swinging between going way under and way over my limit so probably evened out to maintanence ish in the end.

My question is: has anyone had any success without tracking apps/calorie counting? One thing I have done and stuck to completely is cutting out processed food, white carbs and anything mad-made basically. I have really enjoyed this and have no problems keeping it up as I feel so much better and don’t feel any interest in junk anymore.

I want to lose a small amount so that I am healthier and look better but I think I have a tendency towards developing food issues and the app was contributing to that. Any thoughts welcome! Except please don’t recommend keto I live for porridge and it’s just not going to happen :)
