Calorie deficit, running everyday, exercise everyday, gaining weight?

Hey guys, I've been wanting to join the club for a while, and I guess I finally found enough determination to go through and try it out.

So, I'm pretty new to this, I've been doing this for over a week. I know I'm not supposed to see results this early, but am I suppose to go the other way?

I run for about 20min every day (didn't start like that, only recently been able to continuously run for 20min), I do exercise for about a further 10min around.

So I guess here are my questions;

  1. What are the benefits of doing 1hr vs 2x 30min exercise (including running)?
  2. Do I start losing calories ONLY after the 1hr mark? Or the 30min mark? I want to tailor my exercise amounts so that I lose calories, but I don't drop because I'm too exhausted.
  3. Could my metabolism have adjusted to my calorie deficit? As in, because I'm eating less, my metabolism slows down?

Thanks and have a good one,

Can't wait to be skinnier
