8 lbs down, 14 more to go!

SW: 141 lbs CW: 133 GW: 119 [23F]

This year, I reached my heaviest weight of 141 lbs. It may not seem like a lot, but I'm only 5'2". I only really realized it when I was trying out a pair of jeans after wearing sweats for months straight. They didn't fit me anymore. I tried tops I haven't worn since last year, and I could see my belly spilling out.

Since the pandemic, I gained 22 lbs. The gyms shut down. I stopped going to Muay Thai due to restrictions. I wasn't reaching my 10k daily walks anymore. I was just horribly sad with this change of lifestyle. I couldn't travel. I couldn't do anything that used to make me happy. I just let myself go.

As someone who's been fit her entire life, I really took it to the heart. I never had the need to go on a calorie deficit until now. I never had to purposely work out to lose weight.

It's been a month later and I've lost 8 lbs already! I track everything I eat now. I've been working out consistently every other day. I've been lifting weights again. I'm eating healthily.

And... I feel so good! I feel myself becoming happier over time. I think I'm finally finding myself back again.

I know this is a small goal, but it really has made a difference in my way of life and level of happiness these days. Being healthy feels so good.
