Lost ~20kgs with OMAD...put 10 back on...now I think it's time to do it more sustainably, but am a bit overwhelmed where to start

As per title, was very happy with OMAD...until I stopped and - no surprise to you all, I'm sure - the weight came back on and binging habits returned.

Now I want to get back onto the horse - I'm a few days into fast 800, but basically everything I've read aside from the damn authors' recommendations says that's probably a very bad place to start.

I loved the simplicity of OMAD - you eat one meal a day, as big as you like and that keeps you under your Basal Metabolic Rate (mine is around 2,000kcals). Calorie counting does seem annoyingly involved to me, but I assume it starts to just become second nature in that, you eat what you prefer and just learn what the amount equates to in calories...?

I am a keen veggie gardener and it's Spring in Australia, so plenty of zuchini (zoodles), tomatoes, butternut squash etc is on the way which I am so keen for!

I suppose just talking it through in this post, my issue is I know bits about "eat less carbs, when you eat carbs balance them out with proteins" etc, but I'm having trouble on where to start with a more solid plan or framework going forward, which I find easier to follow.

I want to have something defined and rule-based where possible, to give me boundaries to stay within, otherwise I know I'll break them.

Any help? Websites? Books? Sharing meal plans...anything you got will be graciously accepted!

Thanks, guys.
