Genuinely confused/ sorry if this is stupid question. PST measurements to present measurements..

Back in high school I was measured at waist of 36inch. 130-129lbs. My lowest waist and weight.

Fast forward. 8 years. Two years ago I had a baby. Gained about 70+ pounds during my pregnancy.

These two years I have lost about 50+ pounds and back to my "high school" weight range of 135-140. (I've gained some at this moment)

Anyways, here is where I'm really confused. I weigh basically around the same weight give it take 5-10 pounds.

I get my body composition has changed that I'm still getting used too from breast feeding/ nursing to carrying a big long ass baby in my tummy for 9 months.

But my measurements are WAY DIFFERENT! The same weight I was in high school to now. I have about 5 inch different in my waist and mid section.

My weight in high school time of measurements is 129-130 lbs at 28"mid section 36" hips/waist.

Now I'm 135-140lbs measurements of 40" in hips/waist and 38" in mid section.

Please someone explain to me. I'm really confused. I'm sorry if this is stupid question. I'm still trying to learn to love my body and even after my baby journey and losing most baby weight journey I don't understand why my measurements could possibly be 5 inch difference.. my weight is about the same... but 5 inches off from each other....

My height had stayed the same. I had a bit more loose skin in my mid section. Which could be it. I just. Ffs I don't know.

Could someone clear up my mind and questions?
