1500 a day not enough??

Hi all! I'm trying to lose some weight before the summer time and I'm a little confused about how many calories I should be eating...

I'm 25m, 5'8, 175lbs. I wanna get to 160. Calorie calculators vary in how many calories they say I should eat- some say 1800, some 1600, etc. I know 1500 is the LEAST a man should consume, but would 1500 be too low for my stats, or too high even? I've lost and gained weight a few times now and I wanna get it right this time- I often get too wrapped up in it and end up eating way less than I need to, then giving up because it becomes so mundane and hard. Any tips appreciated!
