No weighing/measuring?

I'd be interested to know, does anyone else just NOT weigh or measure themselves? Particularly because I've got a fair bit of weight to lose, I just don't see the point, nor do I find scales and measurements motivating. Basically, this is the second weight spike I've had to deal with in my adult life-and it's the direct result of alcohol abuse, depression, and binge eating. I have my start weight and measurements, but other than that, I'm kind of just freeballing it. I emptied all of the crud and booze from my fridge and cupboards and am just sort of chugging along. In a weird way, this approach makes me feel kind of lazy by comparison to everyone else being so amazingly organised and precise. Is my doing things this way just a recipe for disaster?
