I have an activity I’m doing and for warmups we have to run one lap around the track. I cannot do this and have been sitting out for this week. We start again on Tuesday and want to be able to do it without stopping. Is it reasonable to be able to do that much in 5 days? If so, what are tips to getting me there? I’m really don’t want to embarrass myself in front of everyone but I can’t just keep sitting out. I have a treadmill in my basement but I feel like I’m worse on that honestly, so most of my running will be done at like 3:00 in the morning when no one is out and it isn’t 100 degrees. How do I train for something like this? I have no idea how feasible it is to even attempt but I’m honestly thinking about quitting because I can’t do the lap around the track. I enjoy every other part of the activity, I just absolutely despise the running. We even do pushups and sit ups and stuff and it’s not nearly as bad. I’m just desperate for anyone’s help and I’m hoping this doesn’t just get lost in the subreddit.
