I have a history of overeating, eating when I’m sad, and just losing motivation. But last year at about the end of March I was 16, 5’8”, and was weighing 300lbs I was scared for my future and decided I needed to diet and exercise, I went on a keto diet had a calorie deficit and walked/jogged about 3 miles a day (In gym). I lost 30lbs in 2 months (not sure if that was healthy) but one day playing basketball I landed awkwardly and tore my ACL and meniscus. My parents wanted for me to get the surgery and I did but during recovering I really lost my motivation. I really was sad by the fact that I was actually starting to accomplish my goals and a stupid accident pushed me back to the starting line. Now I’m 17, 5’9” and back to 300lbs. Any advice to build motivation and stick to a program? If you guys did go through the same thing, what were things that helped you?
TL;DR: I was fat, lost some weight, lost motivation and gained back weight. Advice to help me get back to shape?
