Hi! I’m new to this subreddit. I’m a F(23) and I currently weight 165lbs. My goal is to lose 35 pounds and my ultimate dream weight is 130lbs. I started drinking coffee when I finished high school. Up until a year and a half ago, it was pretty normal and I would drink it occasionally (a lot, but still not super often). Last year I’ve discovered that I have a full fledged addiction to it. And it’s not just iced coffee with a little cream or milk.... it’s iced vanilla lattes, iced mochas, etc.
I’ve tried to stop but it’s scaring me how much I rely on it. I don’t know if it’s the caffeine or the sugar but my guess is that it’s the sugar addiction. I know that as soon as I quit this, I’ll lose a lot of weight. I eat relatively healthy besides this. Has anyone experienced anything similar? I know a lot of people deal with soda addictions. I’m not a soda person at all but these iced coffee drinks are truly harming me more than anything. Even if no one has dealt with this, it has helped me to vent about it. I truly hope that I can get over this soon.
