This is what my body looks like currently.
I have never worked out. Ever. I have always had that lazy mentality and I “accepted” that this is who I am and who I’ll always be. Fat shaming has always bothered me but has never actually motivated me to lose weight. My parents still almost daily send me health articles and healthy meal preparations but I’ve never seen it possible for me to make a change in my life style because I enjoy the way I live in a sense. I love not having to worry about calories, I love eating what I want when I want and how much I want.
Obviously it has taken a big toll on my health. I’ve never exercised voluntarily and have lived my entire life carelessly. I am now 29 years old, and over 340 pounds. My sedentary job doesn’t help either. I work in student services at a college and can sit for hours at a time doing email work and calls. Due to the pandemic it’s also been worse, I’ve been working from home with snacks and food available to me at all times and I lack in self control. If I eat something and I like it, I won’t stop until I’m either full or I finish it.
I’m ready to make a change in my life now. I want to know any successful diets/tips/tricks that could possibly help me? Any exercises I should start with and what exercises to focus on based on my body type?
Any advice, help or constructive criticism is welcomed.
