After losing 80lb over the past 12 months, I'm currently 154lb at 5'9". I'm obviously pleased with this but still have a fair bit of tummy / hip fat which I'm determined to get rid of. I think the appearance of this isn't helped by some loose skin.
Over the past month I've struggled to lose any more. I seem to lose a pound in the week, then after a weekend of eating at maintenance put 2 pound back on! Rinse and repeat. I'm eating around 1350-1400 kcal a day, except for weekends where I "let me hair down" and have some beers, however I still limit these days to 1800kcal which is around my maintenance.
This struggle seems to have coincided with me introducing some carbs again (wholemeal rice and bread, sweet potatoes) though I don't think this is the cause since my calories are still on point.
I'm already lifting weights 3 times a week, and running for 20-30 minutes 2 or 3 times a week. My goal weight is 145lb at which point hopefully the extra flab will be gone, but it seems like such a struggle.
Any suggestions? I've been thinking about having several days at eating over maintenance as I heard that this can help but obviously don't want to undo my hard work.
