How do I refuse food that other people keep giving me?

[momentarily wowed by the sheer privilege in this question]

I'd been on the fatter side since my pre-teens. I started college this fall, and have lost a fair amount of weight - I didn't think much of it, chalked it up to going to the gym/playing soccer regularly and small changes in my diet.

Now that I'm back home because of the pandemic, I've realized how different my eating patterns are when I'm living by myself than with family.

  • I rarely have breakfast - only ever coffee, and occasionally some toast if the dining hall has butter that day. I've managed to get out of eating breakfast at home, but I'm consuming around three times the milk I normally would've - coffee in the morning and evening, and milk at night. Any attempts to shirk this off causes concerns regarding my well-being.
  • I only eat when I'm hungry. Everyone seems to be amazed when I say I'm not hungry and act like I'm starving myself.
  • The total volume of the food I eat at college seems to be the same - except I tend to pile on more vegetables (I'm vegetarian) than carb-heavy foods (bread/rice/naan), and I dislike rice in particular - I hate the way it makes me feel after I've eaten it (sleepy, unable to concentrate). The rice-to-veg ratio seems to be much, much larger at home.

I'm currently living with an aunt, and I am given fruit/bread/random snacks that I don't even like more often than I'd want, and have no idea how to politely not eat. I realize that this is not a very huge issue in the present situation, but I just really don't want to eat certain things - right now I have an unidentified food of some sort in my pocket; I ate half of it and it does not taste good but I didn't want to throw it away, now I have no idea what to do with it. help lol
