My current weight is 157kg, last year I started with 162kg and went down to 141 by the end of May, and then I struggled to keep it, moved up and down but it was the lowest I could get because I started to loosen up my diet. (It wasn't some crazy diet, just skipped sugar/carbohidrates and junk food as much as I could, and switched to intermitten fasting, and tried to keep reasonable portion sizes, also started hiking)
In october I attended a wedding, and I thought I'm goning to enjoy it to the fullest, I ate and drink as much as my caveman brain wanted. From there, I couldn't stop, and in 3 months I ate myself back to the original weight.
So this year, I'm going to do it again, but stick with the diet.
I'm started with a 3 day fasting, so my stomach shrink to a normal size after christmas. And I'm planning to do it again every time I loosing grip on my diet. I believe the reason mostly for failing is because the portion sizes slowly growing and I fail my diet when it's reaching the tipping point. Not sure if it make sense but it couldn't hurt to fast a day or tow every two month.
