Last year at this time, my BF and I downloaded the My Fitness Pal app and got serious about our diet. It was great! He dropped 60lbs and I dropped 20lbs in about 3 months. I had managed to keep most of the weight off untiiiiil....
I had hip surgery in September that left me basically couch bound for two solid weeks. After six weeks of recovery, the Thursday before I was supposed to return to work, I was laid off. Being home alone all day plus being down about being unemployed led me to emotional eating. Then the holidays rolled around, and here I am with 15lbs of the 20 I lost hanging onto my tummy and thighs.
I’m about 14 weeks post surgery now, I got the “free and clear” from my doc at 12 weeks, and I power walked 1.5 miles today. IT FELT GREAT!
I decided to jump back in completely and logged all my food today. I forgot how good it feels to be accountable to myself.
So. I’m back at it. Current weight is 175, goal is 160...anything below that is bonus.
Also, my BF has successfully kept off 40lbs of his initial 60lbs lost through the year, but he’s excited to get serious about it again.

Add stir fry veggies and cauliflower rice to oiled, hot pan. THROW OUT THE SAUCE PACKET THAT COMES IN THE STIR FRY! Cook according to instructions on bag. Rinse frozen shrimp according to instructions on bag. Once shrimp are thawed, add to pan to warm. We season with sesame oil, mushroom soy sauce, sriracha, yellow curry powder and Garam masala.
It’s low prep, low cook time and low calorie.
