So I’ve been lurking here for a long while just waiting to post my SV/NSV and progress posts, only to find things continuing to go the wrong way. A few years ago I lost 100lbs slowly and safely by CICO with some very light cardio, but since then I’ve regained about 80-or-so (meaning I have no idea exactly what I weigh today because, well, you know). Here’s the big, NEW problem. I’ve just changed jobs, and now I’ll be flying a LOT and I’m very conscious of my size in the plane and next to my fellow passengers, especially when they’re at a healthful weight. I also have to eat out while I’m traveling since I have no way to cook, and my willpower to choose wisely is abysmal now.
I’ve thought about doing IF, which could work with my schedule, or OMAD (basically similar, no?). CICO by itself isn’t working (I know the math still has to represent a net CI<CO, I’m just talking about planning), and I like a variety of foods too much for keto, vegan or other group-restrictive strategies to be effective long-term. What to do? I’m discouraged but I know I’ve done it before and could do it again. I really want to get things under control while it still feels possible, and I don’t want that window to close.
I’m actually hoping the frequent flights are enough motivation to keep me focused, since my next “milestone” is never more than a week away...
Anyway, thanks for coming to my TED talk.
