Hello! Today is probably the day that I'm going to be fully attentive with regards to my diet. Back then, I was half-hearted every time I tell myself "okay I'm going to go to the gym today", "mmm let me track my caloric intake", but then it just goes over for like 3 days and then it stops every time I see a slice of a cheese pizza (lol). Like, this day, is definitely the day I'll be serious about this stuff.
Anyway, here's a little bit of a background on what I've been doing and some questions that hopefully get answered:
I'm tracking my caloric intake as of this moment that I'm typing this down (around 3pm; after taking lunch) and so far, I've had 728 calories since breakfast... that's it.
I don't normally eat dinner, even back when I wasn't doing this whole dieting thing, I just don't eat at night, though I never watch what I eat during the day, that's why even if I don't eat dinner, I tend to eat a lot of stuff at breakfast and lunch... aka I tend to gain more weight lol.
Anyway, going back, so yeah, so far I've had 728 calories, and according to my some articles I've read, given my weight (166 lbs), my daily calorie limit is around 1900; and according to my tracking app, given the date goal that I've set, my limit is 1610. If I'm going to choose between those two numbers, I'm absolutely going to follow the 1610 limit (I mean, the lower intake, the better, right?).
Anyway, here are my questions: (1) If I want to lose weight, is it okay if I stop at 728 calories and just drink water for the rest of the night until next day's breakfast? (1.1) If no, then what are some good, light snacks that I can eat?; (2) If I want to stay and just eat around 700-800 calories everyday, is that unhealthy?; (3) Are calorie limits set by apps mostly accurate?
It's actually my very first time dieting and at the same time, "Reddit-ing", so I'm pretty much new to everything around here. If the questions/inputs that I gave were confusing, it's okay, I could elaborate/clarify them more. I would really appreciate if I get some ideas regarding my questions or if some of you have suggestions on just about anything (diet, exercise, etc.), then that would be amazing!
