I wanna start running after my workouts

2 months ago I realized I wasn’t happy in my body, had no friends, and was anti social so I started going to the gym I’ve since went from (390> 350). Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been thinking about running a mile each day after I get home from my workout but wanted to be at a comfortable weight so I decided to wait till I was 350.

Today was my first time actually running distance since graduating high school last year were we had to run a half a mile each day. My time was (19.23) but I walked 75% of it. I would love to be able to run a full mile by summer but have no clue about how gain more cardio and endurance.

I would really appreciate feed back and tips on how to gain more cardio and endurance.
